Professor John’s historical Note to a sister in Christ. A Note of encouragement, due to the Truth and Its effect upon her family.

Text:
(1st) The Elder [older or the last one] to the chosen Cyria, and her children, whom I love in [the] Truth; and not I only, but more so, also all those who have understood the Truth; for the sake of Truth, which abides in us, and will be with us forever! Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ, the Father’s Son, in Truth and Love. {3}
(2nd) I rejoiced greatly because I have found of [among] your children, [that] they are walking in [the] Truth, as we received [x] Commandment from the Father. I ask you [s], Cyria (not as writing a new Commandment, but more so, one we continually had from [the] beginning); should we not love one another? This is the Love: that we should walk in according to His Commandments; even as you all [have] heard [x] from [the] beginning, that you all should walk in It. {6}
(3rd) Many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess that Jesus Christ has come in [the] flesh; this is the deceiver and the antichrist. It is imperative that you all watch yourselves, so that you may not lose the things for which we have worked, but more so, that you should receive a full reward.
Everyone who goes beyond and does not abide in ‘the Doctrine’ of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in ‘the Doctrine’ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you, and does not bring the ‘Doctrine’, do not receive him into your house, and do not greet him. The one who gives him a greeting shares his evil works. {11}
(4th) I have many things to write to you, but I do not wish to do so with paper [papyrus] and ink. Instead, I hope to be with you, and to speak face to face that our joy may be made full. The children of the chosen sister greet you.
