The Apocalypse of Jesus Christ

The Apocalypse of Jesus Christ and Closing Volume of THE NEW COVENANT and Finality of God’s Revealed Word to Mankind

Introduction:

The Apostle of Jesus, named Professor John, was the longest serving of the special contemporary historians, used in the 1st century AD to reveal Jesus’ Kingdom to mankind and the new Way for congregations of His citizens to live and advance His Good News. Their identity is unescapable and identical in every place and age. Their Standard and Source are unique, but very doable and teachable. The unity among them in the 1st century AD is just as seeable as in the 21st or 30th AD, because of the undeniable Source and pattern.

Professor John was allowed one final history of tremendous importance. After almost seventy years of evangelizing Jesus’ Good News, congregating the local groups of the Kingdom of Jesus, maturing them with: correct leaders, work to be accomplished by and among the saints, training of local evangelist, planting new congregations in cities in their area, and teaching ‘Love’, Jesus’ Way, to abound. He is given the privilege of writing the final Letter from Jesus to close out His New Covenant. He did so from imprisonment at Patmos, a Roman island prison camp. The Roman Emperor, Domitian, died in A.D. 96 and the new Emperor, Nerva, released him and others, which is widely reported by several 2nd century writers. We are not sure if Professor John completed the Treatise at Patmos or shortly there after.

This is not like the other contemporary histories. This One is named. This is Jesus’ Apocalypse! What is that, you ask? An apocalypse was a method of writing that was very popular. It is mysterious, fanciful, shocking, about great themes, unable to be completely understood clearly, and ties together many things known with unknown or mis-understood things. They are glorious reading and often create many and various conclusions. Many were dramatic plays in print.

Professor John is selected as the giver of Jesus’ Apocalypse. This is some extraordinary material and an extravaganza of mind pictures, as none has ever conjured in their own minds.

This four-act play, centered around the phrase, “I was in the Spirit” (marked in the Text with < >, 4 times), burst open with an incredible introduction of the alive and ruling King of kings, Jesus, and ends, with crescendo after crescendo, ending by the Writer’s conclusion to all readers: Adding a warning for the readers to not modify this Apocalypse (only read, heed, and enjoy It)! Saying, “I am returning soon!” (So, hang on.) Such is the accurate reality for all people for all time.

[As always, we are following the ‘Thoughts’ of the Holy Spirit and not the English grammar, as it interprets the Text, not translates It. Each ‘Thought’ of the Holy Spirit is begun by: (1) or (2), etc. This is when and where, we have determined, He begins His next ‘Thought’, as they progress through all His Treatise (which He had written by men He gave special inspiration in the writing of all 27 Letters of Jesus’ New Covenant). Each Letter has Its own ‘theme’ and develops the ‘theme’ the way He desires for man to understand that theme. The “Apocalypse of Jesus’ is no different, but men, desiring to be more wise and smarter than God, have since Its writing, used It for their own goals. Sadly, they have not heeded His warning nor His command to not abuse It. He has His ‘theme’ and they design their own beyond His.

You, also, will notice our indicators of Greek grammar (->, x, >|, <-), and others as mentioned in various previous Letters for better and correct understanding of what the Greek Text, actually, says. Note the meaning as they will clear many misinterpretations in English or other languages. Also, any brackets [ ] or { } are not part of John’s inspired Text, but for your references.

[Also, all ‘you’ and ‘verbs’, except those indicated are singular.]

Treatise of Jesus’ Apocalypse (penned by the contemporary historian, Professor John, one of His original 12 Apostles):

Text of Jesus’ Apocalypse:

(1st) An Apocalypse of [originator] Jesus Christ, which God gave [x] Him, to picture to His slaves what things must [->, imp.] happen [x, ps] soon. He sent by His angel, and made them known to His slave, John, who bore the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ, even everything he saw. Divinely happy is [1] the one who reads and [2] the ones hearing, the words of the Prophecy and [3] keep the things written in It, for the time is near. {1:3}

(2nd) John, to the seven congregations in Asia: Grace and peace to you all from Him [I] Who is [->], and always was [<-], and Who is coming [->, pt.]; and [II] from the ‘Seven Spirits’ before His Throne; and [III] from Jesus Christ: [a] the trustworthy Witness, [b] the Firstborn of the dead, and [c] the Ruler of the kings of the Earth. To Him: [1] Who loves [->] us, and [2] released [x] us from our sins by His blood, and [3] made [x] us a Kingdom, [4] priests before God, even His Father; to Him is the splendor and the strength forever and ever. Amen. {1:6}

Behold! [Everyone must pay attention!] He Himself comes with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all the nations of the Earth will mourn over Him. Yes! Amen. {1:7}

“I AM, the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “Who is [->] and Who always was [<-], and Who is coming [->, part.]; the Almighty.” {1:8}

(3rd) I, John, your [a] brother and [b] sharer in the distress and [c] Kingdom and [d] steadfastness in Jesus, was [put] on the island called Patmos because of the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus. <I was in [the] Spirit> on ‘the Lord’s day’, and I heard behind me a great Voice, like the sound of a trumpet, saying, “What you see, you must write in a Book, and send It to the seven congregations: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamus, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodice.

And I turned to see the One Who was speaking with me, and when I turned, I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the lampstands, One like a Son of man. He was clothed with a robe reaching to His feet and was wearing a golden belt. His head and hair were as white as white wool, even as snow, and His eyes were like a fiery flame. His feet were like glowing brass which had been fired in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters. He had seven stars in His right hand, and a sharp two-edged sword going out of His mouth, and His face was like the sun shining in its strength.

When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as one dead. He put His right hand on me, saying, “You must not be afraid: ‘I AM’, the First and the Last, the living One. I was dead but behold! I am alive forever and ever, and (only) I have the keys of death and the grave. Therefore, you must write the things you saw, and the things which are, and which are going to happen afterward.

This is the Mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and of the seven golden lampstands: the seven stars are messengers [or angels] of the seven congregations, and the seven lampstands are the seven congregations. {1:20}

You must write to the messenger [or angel] of the congregation in Ephesus: ‘The [unique] One Who is holding the seven stars in His right hand, the [unique] One walking in the midst of the seven golden lampstands, says these things: “I know your works and your labor and your steadfastness, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you tried those who call themselves apostles and are not, and discovered them to be liars. Further, you are steadfast, and you have borne patiently for My Name’s sake, and you have not become weary. But I have against you that you have forsaken your first love. It is imperative that you remember, therefore, from where you have fallen, reform your mind and life, and do the first works. But, if you do not, then I am coming to you, and I will remove your lampstand out of its place, unless you should reform your mind and life. But more so, you do have this, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. He, who has an ear, must hear what the Spirit says to the congregations. To the one overcoming, I will give to banquet of the ‘Tree of Life’, which is in God’s Paradise.'” {2:7} [all pronouns and verbs referring to Ephesians are singular.]

You must write to the messenger [or angel] of the congregation in Smyrna: ‘The First and the Last, Who died and lived, says these things: “I know your distress and poverty, but more so, you are rich; I also, [know] the slander of those who call themselves Jews, and are not, but more so, are the synagogue of Satan. You must not be afraid of the things you are about to suffer. Behold! The devil is going to imprison some of you [pl.], that you [pl.] may be tested, and you [pl.] will have distress for ten days. You must be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. He, who has an ear, must hear what the Spirit says to the congregations: he who overcomes should not be harmed by the second death.'” [all are singular ‘you’ except the ones indicated.] {2:11}

You must write to the messenger [or angel] of the congregation in Pergamus: ‘He who has the sharp two-edged sword says these things: “I know where you live, where Satan’s throne is. However, you are holding fast My Name, and you yourself did not deny ‘the Faith’ of Me, even in the days of My faithful martyr Antipas, who was killed among you [pl.], where Satan lives. But more so, I have a few things against you, because you have some there that cling to the doctrine of Balaam, who was teaching Balak to entrap the children of Israel, to eat sacrifices to idols, and to fornicate. In the same way, you likewise have those who follow the doctrine of the Nicolaitans. Therefore, you must reform your mind and life! And if not, I am coming to you soon, and I will make war against them with the sword of My mouth. He, who has an ear, must hear what the Spirit says to the congregations: to the one who overcomes, I will give the hidden manna, and a white stone, and on the stone a new name is written, which no one knows, except the one who receives it.'” [All ‘verbs’ and ‘pronouns’ are singular, unless indicated.] {2:17}

You must write to the messenger [or angel] of the congregation in Thyatira: ‘The Son of God (with eyes like a fiery flame, and feet like glowing brass) says these things: “I know about you: the works and the love and ‘the Faith’ and the service and your steadfastness, and that your last works are more than the first. But I have against you that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess; she teaches and seduces my slaves to fornicate and to eat sacrifices offered to idols. I gave her time to reform about her fornication, but she does not wish to reform. Behold! I will throw her into a bed, and those who commit adultery with her, into great distress unless they reform their minds and lives. Further, I will kill her children by pestilence, and all the congregations will understand that, “I AM”, the One Who searches minds and hearts, and I will give to you [pl.], each one, according to your [pl.] works. But I assure the rest of you [pl.] in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not understood ‘the deep things of Satan’ (as they say), that I will not put another burden on you [pl.]. Nevertheless, you all must hold fast what you have until I come. To him who overcomes, and who keeps My works unto the end, I will give authority over the nations; and ‘he will rule them with an iron rod, as clay vessels are broken’ [Ps.2:9]; and as I received from My Father, I will also give to him the morning star. He, who has an ear, must hear what the Spirit says to the congregations.'” [Again, all pronouns and verbs are singular, except as indicated.] {2:29}

You must write to the messenger [or angel] of the congregation in Sardis: “He who has God’s Seven Spirits and the seven stars, says these things: ‘I know your works, that you have a name that you live, but you are dead. It is imperative that you be watchful, and strengthen the things which are about to die, for I have not found your [sing.] works completed {pl.} before My God. You must remember therefore how you have received and heard, and you must hold fast and reform your mind and life. If therefore you do not watch, I will come like a thief, and you cannot understand at what hour I will come upon you. But more so, you have a few names in Sardis who have not defiled {pl.} their garments. They will walk {pl.} with Me in white, because they are worthy {pl.}. He who overcomes will be clothed in white garments, and I will never remove his name from the Book of Life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. He, who has an ear, must hear what the Spirit says to the congregations.’ {3:6}

You must write to the messenger [or angel] of the congregation in Philadelphia: ‘The [unique] holy One, the [unique] true One, He Who has David’s key, He Who opens, and no one will close, and He Who closes, and no one opens, says these things: “I know the works of you. You must give attention! I have put before you an opened door which no one can close. Because you have a little power, you have kept My Message, and you did not deny My Name. You must give attention! I will make those of Satan’s synagogue (who call themselves Jews, but are not, but more so, are lying), be assured, I will cause them to come and bow at your feet that they may understand that I love you. Because you have kept the Message of My steadfastness, I will also keep you from the hour of testing, which is coming on the whole world, to try those who live on the Earth. I am coming soon. You must hold fast what you have, that nobody may take your crown. I will make him who overcomes a pillar in God’s Temple, and he shall never go out; and I will write on him the Name of My God, and the Name of ‘the City’ of My God (the new Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from My God), and My new Name. He, who has an ear, must hear what the Spirit says to the congregations.'” [Too, all the ‘you’ and ‘verbs’ are singular.] {3:13}

You must write to the messenger [or angel] of the congregation in Laodicea: ‘The Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Originator of God’s creation, says these things: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am about to vomit you out of My mouth. You say, ‘I am fabulously rich, and need nothing,’ but you do not know that you are the one that is: wretched and pitiable and indigent and blind and naked. I advise you to buy gold from Me, purified in fire, that you may become rich; and [have] white garments, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness may not be seen; and salve to rub on your eyes, that you may see. I correct and chasten as many as I have strong affection. It is imperative that you be zealous therefore and reform your mind and life. Behold! I stand at the door and knock: if anyone hears My voice and should open the door, I will come-in to him, and I will dine with him, and he with Me! The one who overcomes, I will allow him to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat with My Father on His throne. He, who has an ear, must hear what the Spirit says to the congregations.'” {3:22}

(4th) After these things I looked and behold! A door opened in heaven! The first voice I heard was like a trumpet speaking to me, saying, “You must come up here, and I will show you the things that must happen.” Afterwards, <I immediately was in [the] Spirit>, and behold! A Throne already was standing [<-] in heaven, and One was sitting on the Throne, Who had the appearance of jasper and carnelian, and a rainbow around the Throne was like an emerald. Also, twenty-four thrones were around the Throne, and twenty-four elders – clothed in white garments, with golden crowns on their heads – were sitting on the thrones. Lightnings and voices and thunders came out from the Throne, and seven torches were burning in front of the Throne, which are the Seven Spirits of God. And a glassy crystalline sea was in front of the Throne.

Also, in the midst of the throne, and around it, were four living creatures full of eyes front and back. The first living creature was like a lion; the second was like a bull calf; and the third had a face like a person; and the fourth was like a flying eagle. The four living creatures, each of them, had six wings, and were full of eyes all around and within. They have no rest day or night, saying, “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God the Almighty, Who always [continuous] was [<-], and is [->, now!], and Who is Himself coming [->, part.].”

When the four living creatures give glory and honor and thanksgiving to the One sitting on the Throne, to the One who lives forever and ever, then the twenty-four elders fall before the One Who sits on the Throne, and they worship Him Who lives forever and ever, and they place their crowns before the Throne, saying, “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, for You created all things, and they came to be, yes, they were created, because of Your desire [Will]. {4:11}

I saw in the right hand of the One sitting on the Throne a scroll, written on the inside and outside, sealed tightly with seven seals. I saw a mighty angel who was proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to break its seals?” No one in heaven or on the Earth or under the Earth could open the scroll or look at it. I wept loudly, because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look at it. Then one of the elders said to me, “You ought not weep. Behold! The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered! He can open the scroll and its seven seals!”

Then I saw a Lamb standing in the midst of the Throne and the four living creatures, and in the midst of the older ones. He had been murdered, and had seven horns and seven eyes, which are God’s Seven Spirits sent into all the Earth. He came and took the scroll from the right hand of the One sitting on the Throne.

When He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell before the Lamb! Each one had a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. They sang a new song, saying, “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because [1] You were murdered [sacrificed, x, ps], and [2] with Your blood You purchased [ransom paid, x], for God, men of every tribe and language and people and nation, and You made [x] them [a] a Kingdom and [b] priests for our God, and [c] they will reign on (over) the Earth.”

I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the Throne, and of the living creatures, and of the elders, and their number was countless thousands, and thousands of thousands, speaking with a loud voice, “The Lamb, Who having been murdered, is worthy to receive the power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”

And I heard every creature in heaven, and on the Earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all things in them, saying, “To the One sitting on the Throne, and to the Lamb be the praise, and the honor, and the glory, and the strength forever and ever!” The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped. {5:14}

(5th) And I looked when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures speaking in a thunderous voice, “Come!” Then I looked and behold! A white horse, and he who sat on him had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering, and that he might conquer.

When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come!” Then another horse, fiery red, came out, and the one who sat on him was appointed to take peace from the Earth, so that they would murder one another, and a great sword was given to him.

When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, “Come!” And I looked and behold! A black horse, and he who sat on him had a pair of scales in his hand. I heard something like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for twenty cents, and three quarts of barley for twenty cents. You should waste no oil or wine.”

When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the fourth living creature saying, “Come!” Then I looked and behold! A pale horse, and he who sat on him was named Death, and Hades was following in company with him. They were given authority to kill one fourth of the earth with the sword, with famine, with pestilence, and by the wild beasts of the Earth.

When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls who had been murdered because of the Word of God, and because of the Testimony which they continually held. They cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, holy and true Master, will you not judge and vindicate our blood among the inhabitants of the Earth?” A white robe was given to each one, and they were told that they shall rest yet a little while, until their fellow slaves and their brothers, who were about to be killed as they had been, should complete their course. {6:11}

And I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and there was a terrible earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon was like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the Earth, as a fig tree loses its unripe fruit when it is shaken by a strong wind. The heaven was removed like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the Earth, and the great men, and the chief captains, and the rich, and the strong, and every slave and free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains. They cried to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us! And you must hide us from the face of Him who sits on the Throne, and from the Lamb’s wrath, because the great Day of Their wrath has come, and who can stand!” {6:17}

After this I saw four angels standing on the Earth’s four corners, holding the Earth’s four winds, so that no wind would blow on the earth or sea or any tree. And I saw another angel coming up from the rising sun; he had the seal of the living God, and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels who were appointed to harm the earth and the sea, saying, “You cannot harm the earth, or the sea, or any tree, until we can seal the slaves of our God on their foreheads.”

I heard the number of those who had been sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand from all the tribes of the children of Israel: twelve thousand had been sealed of Judah, of Reuben, of Gad, of Asher, of Naphtali, of Manasseh, of Simeon, of Levi, of Issachar, of Zebulun, of Joseph, and of Benjamin.

After these things I looked and behold [You yourself must listen to this!]! An uncountable multitude – from every nation and from every tribe, from all peoples and languages – was standing before the Throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and had palm branches in their hands. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation to our God Who sits on the Throne, and to the Lamb!” All the angels stood around the Throne, and the elders, and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the Throne, and worshiped God, saying, “Amen! The praise, and the glory, and the wisdom, and the thanksgiving, and the honor, and the might, and the strength, to our God forever and ever. Amen!” {7:12}

One of the elders asked me, “Who are these who are clothed in the white robes, and from where did they come?” I answered, “My lord, you know.” He replied to me, “These are they who are coming out of great distress; they have washed [x] their robes and have made them white [x] in the blood of the Lamb. For ‘this’ reason, they are [->] before God’s Throne, and they serve Him day and night in His Temple, and He Who sits on the Throne will dwell [fut.] with them. They will hunger no more, neither thirst again, nor may the sun fall on them, nor any heat, because the Lamb, Who is before the Throne, will shepherd them, and He will guide them to fountains of waters of life, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” {7:17}

When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about half an hour, and I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.

Then another angel came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer, and an abundance of incense was given to him, that he might offer it on the golden altar before the Throne, along with the prayers of all the saints. The smoke of the incense went up before God from the angel’s hand with the prayers of the saints. The angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it upon the Earth. There were thunders and voices and lightnings and an earthquake. Then, the seven angels who have the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. {8:6}

After the first angel sounded, hail and fire mixed with blood were thrown on the Earth; and a third of the earth, a third of the trees, and all the green grass were burned.

After the second angel sounded, something like an enormous flaming mountain was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood, and a third of the creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

After the third angel sounded, a great star burning like a torch fell out of heaven, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the fountains of waters. The star’s name is Wormwood, and a third of the waters became wormwood, and many people died, because the waters were bitter.

After the fourth angel sounded, a third of the sun, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars were struck, that they should be darkened; and there was no light for a third of the day and of the night.

I saw and heard an eagle flying in the midst of heaven, speaking with a loud voice, “Woe! Woe! Woe! to the Earth’s inhabitants, because of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels about to sound.” {8:13}

After the fifth angel sounded, I saw a star which had fallen from heaven to the Earth, and the key to the pit of the abyss was given to him. After he had opened the pit, smoke poured out, as from an enormous furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke. And locusts came out of the smoke and onto the Earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

They were told not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only men without God’s seal on their foreheads. They were not allowed to kill them but were allowed to torture them for five months; and their torture was like the torture of a scorpion, when it stings a person. Then people will seek death but will not find it; they will want to die, but death flees from them.

The locusts resembled horses harnessed for war, and crowns like gold were on their heads. Their faces were like the faces of people, and their hair was like the hair of women, and their teeth were like the teeth of lions, and their breastplates were like iron, and their wings sounded like many chariots rushing to battle. They had tails like scorpions, and stingers; and they had power to torture mankind with their tails five months. Their king is the agent of the abyss (named in Hebrew, Abaddon; in Greek, Apollyon). One woe is over! Behold! Two woes are yet to come after these things. {9:12}

After the sixth angel sounded, I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar before God, speaking to the angel holding the trumpet, “You must release the four angels bound at the great river Euphrates.” The four angels, prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. I heard the number of the horsemen: uncountable millions! And in the vision, I saw the horses, and those who sat on them had fiery breastplates, hyacinth and brimstone; the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; fire and smoke and brimstone poured out from their mouths. A third of mankind was destroyed by these three plagues, by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone pouring out of their mouths. The power of the horses was in their mouths and in their tails, for their tails were like serpents, having heads with which they torture.

The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not reform their minds and lives about the works of their hands that they should not worship the demons, or the idols of gold and silver and copper and stone and wood (which neither see nor hear nor walk); and they did not reform their minds and lives out of their murders, or their sorceries, or their fornication, or their thefts. {9:21}

I saw another angel, a strong one, coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud and with a rainbow on his head. His face was like the sun, and his legs like fiery pillars, and he had in his hand a little book opened. He set his right foot on the sea, and the left on the earth, and he cried with a loud voice, as a lion roars. When he cried, the seven thunders uttered their own voices; when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “You must seal the things the seven thunder’s said; you cannot write them.”

Then the angel, whom I saw standing on the sea and the earth, raised his right hand toward heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, Who created heaven and the things in it, the Earth and the things in it, the sea and the things in it, “There will be no more delay, but more so, in the days when the seventh angel sounds, the Mystery of God will be complete, according to the Good News which He had evangelized to His own slaves, the prophets.”

Then the voice I heard from heaven spoke to me again, saying, “Go, take the book which is opened in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and the earth!” And I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little book. He replied, “Take and eat it! It will be bitter in your stomach, but in your mouth, it will be as sweet as honey.” So, I took the little book from the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth; but after I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter. They told me, “You must prophesy again to peoples and nations and languages and many kings.” {10:11}

A measuring rod like a staff was given to me, and the angel said, “You must arise and measure God’s Temple, and the altar, and the ones who are worshiping in it. You must omit the courtyard outside the Temple, and do not measure it, because it was given to the Gentiles, and they shall trample ‘the sacred City’ forty-two months. I will give authority to my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed with sackcloth. These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands which are standing before the Lord of the Earth. And if anyone wishes to harm them, fire goes out of their mouth and devours their enemies; and if anyone should wish to harm them, he must die in this manner. These have the authority to shut up the heaven, so that there might not be rain during the days of their prophesying; and they have authority over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to strike the Earth with every plague, as often as they wish.

And when they complete their testimony, the beast which comes up out of the abyss shall make war with them and shall conquer and kill them. And their corpses shall lie on the street of the great city, which is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was crucified. And peoples, tribes, languages, and nations gaze on their corpses for three and a half days, and they do not allow their corpses to be entombed. The inhabitants of the Earth rejoice over them, and they celebrate and exchange gifts, because these two prophets tortured the inhabitants of the Earth.

And after three and a half days the spirit of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and a great fear fell on those seeing them. And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, ‘You must come up here.’ And they ascended into heaven in a cloud, and their enemies watched them.

And in that hour a great earthquake occurred, and a tenth of the city fell, and seven thousand people were killed; and the rest were frightened and praised the God of heaven. The second woe is over. Behold [You all must be paying attention!]! The third comes soon.” {11:14}

After the seventh angel sounded, there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and his Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever.” And the twenty-four older ones, who were sitting on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying, “We thank you, Lord God the Almighty, Who is [being] and Who always was, because You have taken Your great power, and You have reigned! The nations have become angry, and your wrath has come, and the time has come for the dead to be judged, and for You to reward Your slaves, the prophets, and the saints, and those who revere Your Name, those who are small and great, and to destroy those who destroy the Earth.

And God’s Temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of His Covenant in the Temple was seen, and there were lightnings and voices and thunders and an earthquake and great hail. {11:19}

(6th) A great sign was seen in heaven: a woman was clothed with the sun, and the moon was under her feet, and she was crowned with twelve stars. And she was pregnant and crying in the agony of her labor to bear.

Another sign was seen in heaven: behold! a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth.

And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, that, when she had delivered, he might devour her child. She bore a son who was to rule all nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up with God and to [with] His Throne. The woman fled into the desert to a place God had prepared, where they might nourish her for twelve hundred and sixty days.

A war occurred in heaven, and Michael and his angels fought with the dragon. The dragon and his agents fought, but he could not win, and no place was found for them in heaven. And the great dragon, the old serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole Earth, was thrown down to the Earth, and his agents were thrown down with him. And I heard a loud voice in heaven, declaring, “Now has come the salvation and the power and the Kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, he who accuses them day and night before our God. Because of the blood of the Lamb, and the Message of their testimony, they conquered him, and did not cherish their life in the face of death. Therefore, You all must rejoice, heavens, and those who dwell in them! Woe to the earth and sea, because the devil has come down to you extremely angry, knowing he has a little time.” {12:12}

After the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the Earth, he persecuted the woman who bore the son. However, the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so she could fly to her place in the desert, where – away from the serpent – she was nourished for a time, and times, and half a time. The serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth behind the woman, that he might cause her to be swept away by the river. But the earth helped the woman, opening its mouth and swallowing the river, which the dragon poured out of his mouth. And the dragon became angry at the woman, and fought with the rest of her offspring, those who observe God’s commands and hold the Testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the seashore. {12:18}

And I saw a beast arising from the sea, and he had seven heads and ten horns, and ten crowns on his horns and blasphemous names on his heads. And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like a bear’s feet, and his mouth was like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave to him his power and his throne and great authority. One of his heads appeared to be wounded mortally, but the mortal wound had healed. And the whole world followed the beast, full of wonder, and worshiped both the dragon who had given authority to the beast, and the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can go to war against him?” His mouth uttered great blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue forty-two months.

He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, His Name, His dwelling place, and those who live in heaven. It was given to him to fight against the saints and to conquer them; and authority was given to him over every tribe and people and language and nation. And all the inhabitants of the Earth will worship [fut.] him, that is, those whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb, Who was murdered from the foundation of [the] world. He, who has an ear, it is imperative that he hear! If anyone [is to go] into captivity, to captivity he goes. If anyone kills by the sword, by the sword he is to be killed. Here in are the Endurance and ‘the Faith’ of the saints. {13:10}

And I saw another beast arising from the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb, and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast on his behalf and forces the Earth and its inhabitants to worship the first beast, whose mortal wound had been healed. And he displays great signs, making fire come down from heaven to the Earth before men. By the signs he was allowed to do on behalf of the beast, he deceived all the inhabitants of the Earth, telling them to make an image to the beast who had the stroke of the sword and lived.

And he was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that it could both speak and cause to be killed anyone not worshiping it. And he compels all – the small and the great, the rich and the poor, the free and the enslaved – to be marked on their right hand or on their forehead, so that no one could buy or sell without the mark, that is, the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Herein is wisdom: he who understands ought to calculate the beast’s number, for it is a man’s number, and its number is six hundred and sixty-six. [or 616] {13:18}

I looked and behold! The Lamb was standing on mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His and His Father’s Name written on their foreheads! And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters, and like the sound of loud thunder. The sound which I heard was like harpists playing their harps. And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders, and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been purchased from the Earth. These are they who were not defiled with women, for they were chaste. These are they who followed the Lamb wherever He went. These were purchased from among men, first-fruits to God and to the Lamb. No falsehood was found in their mouth. They were blameless. {14:5}

I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting Good News to evangelize to the Earth’s inhabitants: to every nation, tribe, language, and people. And he was commanding with a loud voice, “You all must reverence God and must give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come! You all ought to worship the One Who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” And a second angel followed, proclaiming, “She has fallen! She has fallen! Babylon the great, who has made all nations to drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” And a third angel followed them, loudly exclaiming, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or his hand, he will drink of the wine of God’s wrath poured full strength in the cup of his anger, and he shall be tormented in fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and those who worship the beast and his image, and those who receive the mark of his name, have no rest day or night. {14:11}

Herein is the endurance of the saints, the ones who keep God’s commands and ‘the Faith’ of Jesus.” And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “You must write: ‘Divinely happy from now on are the dead who die in the Lord. Yes, says the Spirit, they will rest from their labors, for their works follow with them.’” {14:13}

I looked and behold! There was a white cloud, and one like a Son of man was sitting on the cloud, and He had a golden crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand. And another angel came out of the Temple, exclaiming loudly to the One sitting on the cloud, “You must put forth Your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, and the Earth’s harvest is ripe.” And the One sitting on the cloud swung His sickle to the Earth, and the Earth was reaped.

And another angel who also had a sharp sickle came out of the Temple in heaven. And another angel, one who had power over the fire, came out from the altar; and he spoke with a loud voice to the one holding the sharp sickle, saying, “You must put forth your sharp sickle, and must gather the clusters from the vines of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” And the angel thrust his sickle to the Earth, and gathered the vines of the Earth, and placed them in the great wine press of God’s wrath. The wine press which was outside the City was trampled, and blood from the wine press rose as high as the bridles of horses for two hundred miles. {14:20}

I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels with the seven final plagues to finish God’s wrath.

And I saw what looked like a glassy sea mingled with fire, and those who overcome the beast and his image and the number of his name, those who have God’s harps, were standing beside the glassy sea. They sang the song of Moses, God’s slave, and the song of the Lamb, “Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God the Almighty! Righteous and true are Your ways, King of the nations! Who should not revere and glorify Your Name, Lord? Only You are holy! All nations shall come, and worship You, because Your righteous deeds have been clearly seen.” {15:4}

After these things I looked, and the Temple of the tent of the testimony was opened in heaven. The seven angels who had the seven plagues came out of the Temple. They were clothed in pure, fine linen, and wore golden belts. One of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God Who lives forever and ever. The Temple was filled with smoke from the splendor and power of God, and no one was able to enter the Temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed. {15:8}

And I heard a loud voice out of the Temple saying to the seven angels, “Go! And you must pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath upon the Earth.”

The first went and poured out his bowl on the Earth, bringing foul and angry sores on those who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.

The second poured out his bowl on the sea, which became blood as from a corpse, and every living thing in the sea died.

The third poured out his bowl on the rivers and the water fountains; they became blood, and I heard the angel of the waters saying, “You are righteous, Who is [->] and Who always was [<-], the Holy One, because of these judgments, for they poured out the blood of the saints and prophets, and You gave them blood to drink, as they deserve.” I heard the altar say, “Yes, Lord God the Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments.”

The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun, which scorched people with fire. Severely burned, they cursed the Name of God, Who has power over these plagues, but they did not reform their minds or lives to give Him glory.

The fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, darkening his kingdom. They gnawed their tongues because of the pain and sores, and cursed the God of heaven, but they did not reform their minds or lives about their deeds.

The sixth poured his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the road for the kings from the east. I saw three vicious spirits like frogs, coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are the spirits of demons performing miracles, who go out to the kings of the whole Earth to assemble them for the war of the great day of God the Almighty.

“(Behold! I come like a thief. Divinely happy is he who watches and keeps his garments, so that he might not walk naked, and they should see his shame.)” He brought them together at a place called in Hebrew Harmagedon.

The seventh poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice went out of the Temple from the throne, saying, “It is done!” There were lightnings and noises and thunders, and a severe earthquake such as had never been since man has been on the Earth, so severe. The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered before God to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His anger. Every island disappeared, and no mountains were found. Enormous hail, weighing a talent, fell from heaven on the people, and they cursed God because of the violent beating of the hail. {16:21}

(7th) And one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come! I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the Earth fornicated, and the inhabitants of the Earth were intoxicated by the wine of her fornication.” {17:3}

He brought me <in the Spirit> into a desert, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet-colored beast full of the names of blasphemy which had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was clothed with purple and scarlet, adorned with gold, precious stones, and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of the detestable impurities of her vice. A name was written on her forehead, “Mystery: Babylon the great, the mother of the prostitutes, and of the detestable things of the Earth.” I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of Jesus’ martyrs. When I looked at her, I was greatly amazed! And the angel said to me, “Why are you amazed? I will tell you the Mystery of the woman, and of the beast carrying her, which has seven heads and ten horns. The beast which you saw was, and is not, and is about to go up from the abyss, and goes into destruction. The inhabitants of the Earth, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, will be amazed, seeing the beast that was, and is not, and will be.

Here is the mind that has wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. There are seven kings: five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. When he comes he must continue a little while. The beast which was and is not (himself being the eighth but is of the seven), goes into destruction.

The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but for one hour they receive authority as kings with the beast. They are of one mind, and they give their power and authority to the beast. They will fight with the Lamb, but the Lamb, Who is Lord of lords and King of kings, will conquer them. Those with Him: [are] called and chosen and faithful.” He said to me, “The waters which you saw (on which the prostitute sits) are peoples and crowds and nations and languages. The ten horns which you saw, and the beast, will hate the prostitute, stripping her naked, devouring her flesh, and burning her with fire. God put it in their hearts to do His purpose, giving their kingdom to the beast until God’s Words are fulfilled. The woman whom you saw is the great city reigning over the earth’s kings. {17:18}

After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven with great authority, and the Earth was illuminated by his splendor. He cried with a strong voice, “She has fallen! She has fallen! Babylon the great! She has become a haunt for demons, a lair for every foul spirit, and a cage for every filthy and despised bird. All nations have fallen because of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. The kings of the Earth fornicated with her, and the Earth’s merchants became rich by the means of her sensuality.”

I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “My people, you must come out of her, that you may not partake of her sins, neither may receive her plagues, for her sins have reached heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. We must give back to her as she has given. We must repay double to her according to her works. We must mix double to her the cup she has mixed. We must give her torment and mourning as she has glorified herself and lived sensually, because she said in her heart, ‘I reign as a queen! I am not a widow! I can in no way see mourning!’ For this reason, in one day her plagues shall come: death and mourning and famine; and she shall be burned with fire, because the God who has judged her is a mighty Lord. {18:8}

The kings of the Earth, who fornicated with her and lived sensually, shall weep and mourn over her when they can see the smoke of her burning. They will stand far away because of the fear of her punishment, exclaiming, “Woe! Woe! The great city, Babylon the strong city! In one hour, your judgment has come!”

The merchants of the earth wept and mourned over her because no one any longer bought their merchandise: gold, silver, precious stones, pearls, fine linen, purple, silk, scarlet, citron wood, vessels of ivory, precious wood, brass, iron, marble, cinnamon, spice, incense, perfume, frankincense, wine, oil, flour, wheat, cattle, sheep, horses, chariots, slaves, and men’s lives.

The fruit which you craved has gone from you, and all things luxurious and all things splendid have passed away from you and will be found no longer at all. The merchants of these things, who have been made rich by her, shall stand far away because of the fear of her punishment, weeping and mourning, saying, “Woe! Woe! The great city, clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, ornamented with gold and precious stones and pearls! In one hour, such riches have vanished!” {18:17}

Every ship captain, and every passenger on a ship, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood far away, and were crying, gazing on the smoke of her fiery ordeal, asking, “What is like the great city?” They threw dust on their heads, and were crying, weeping and wailing, and exclaiming, “Woe! Woe! The great city! All those having ships on the sea have been made rich by her wealth. In one hour, she has been made desolate.” You must rejoice over her, Heaven, and the holy people, and the Apostles, and the Prophets, for God has avenged you.”

And a mighty angel lifted a rock like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “In this manner Babylon the great city will be cast down, never more to be found. The sound of harpers and musicians and flute players and trumpeters can never again be heard in you. No craftsman of any trade can ever again be found in you. The sound of a millstone may never again be heard in you. The light of a lamp can never again shine in you. The voice of a bridegroom and of a bride can never again be heard in you. Your merchants were persons of importance on the Earth. All the nations were led astray by your witchcraft. The blood of prophets and of saints and of all those who have been murdered on the earth was found in her.” {18:24}

After these things I heard what was like the loud voice of a large multitude in heaven, saying, “Hallelujah! The salvation and the splendor and the power are our God’s, because His judgments are true and righteous! He has judged the great prostitute, who corrupted the Earth with her fornication, and He has taken vengeance for the blood of His slaves against her.”

A second time they exclaimed, “Hallelujah! Her smoke goes up forever and ever.” The twenty-four older ones and the four living creatures fell and worshiped God, Who sits on the throne, saying, “Amen! Hallelujah!”

A voice came out from the Throne, and said, “You all must praise our God, all His slaves, those who revere Him, the small and the great!” I heard what was like the voice of a large multitude, and like the sound of many waters, and like the sound of mighty thunders, saying, “Hallelujah! The Lord our God, the Almighty reigns! Let us rejoice and be glad! Let us give Him glory! The Lamb’s marriage has come, and his fiancée has prepared herself!”

It was given to her that she should be clothed in fine linen, bright and splendid. (The fine linen is the good deeds of the saints.) He said to me, “You must write: Divinely happy are they who are invited to the Lamb’s marriage feast.” And he said to me, “These are God’s true words.” I fell at his feet to worship him, and he said to me, “You must not! I am your fellow slave, and of your brothers who hold the ‘Testimony of Jesus’. You must worship God! The ‘Testimony of Jesus’ is the spirit of prophecy.” {19:10}

I saw heaven opened and behold! A white horse whose rider is called Faithful and True. He judges in righteousness, and wages war. His eyes are as a fiery flame, and many diadems are on His head. He has an inscribed name, which no one knows but Himself. He is clothed with a blood-spattered coat, and His Name is called the WORD OF GOD. The armies of heaven, clothed in fine linen, bright and splendid, always follow Him on white horses. A sharp sword goes out of His mouth to strike the nations, and He will rule them with an iron rod. He tramples the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God, the Almighty. His title, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS, is inscribed on His coat and on His thigh. {19:16}

I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds flying in the midst of heaven, “Come! We must gather for God’s great feast, to eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of chief captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of their riders, and the flesh of all men, free and enslaved, small and great.”

I saw the beast and the kings of the Earth and their armies gathered for war against the One sitting on the horse and His army. The beast was seized, and with him the false prophet, who did signs before him, with which he deceived those who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image. The two were thrown alive into a fiery lake burning with brimstone. The rest were killed by the sword from the mouth of the One sitting on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh. {19:21}

I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss, and a great chain in his hand. He seized the dragon (the old serpent, who is the devil and Satan) and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the abyss and shut and sealed it over him that he should deceive the nations no more until the thousand years are complete. After these things he must be released for a little time.

I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them, even the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus, and because of the Word of God. They did not worship the beast or his image and did not receive the mark on their forehead or their hand. They lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years (the rest of the dead did not live until the completion of the thousand years); this is the first resurrection. Divinely happy and set apart is he who has a part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over these, but more so, they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him a thousand years.

When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison. He will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the Earth, Gog and Magog, and to gather them for war (their number is like the sand of the sea). They went up on the breadth of the earth, and surrounded the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. But fire came down from heaven and consumed them. The devil (their deceiver) was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone (where also were the beast and the false prophet). They will be tormented day and night forever and ever. {20:10}

I saw a great white throne, and the One sitting on it. The Earth and heaven fled from His face, and no place was found for them. I saw the dead, the great and the small, stand before the Throne. Books were opened, and another Book was opened, which is of life. The dead were judged out of the things written in the books according to their works.

The sea gave up the dead in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead in them. They were judged (each one) according to their works. Death and Hades were thrown into the fiery lake (this second death is the lake of fire). If anyone was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the fiery lake. {20:15}

I saw ‘a new heaven and a new earth’ [Is66:22], for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I saw ‘the sacred City’, ‘the new Jerusalem’, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her bridegroom. I heard a loud voice out of the Throne, saying, “Behold [2s,x,mid,imp; You yourself must pay attention!]! [A] God’s dwelling place is with men, and [B] He will dwell with them, and [C] they will be His people, and [D] God Himself, their God, will be with them. [E] He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. [F] Death will be no more! [G] Neither mourning nor crying nor pain will ever be, [H] because the former things will have passed away.” {21:4}

The One sitting on the Throne said, “Behold! [2s,x,mid,imp] I am making all things new.” He continued, “You must write, [A] for these words are dependable and [B] true.” He said, [C] “It has been done! [D] I AM, the A and the Z, the beginner and the end. [E] I will freely give to him who is thirsty of the fountain of the water of life. [F] He who overcomes will inherit these things. [G] I will be His God, and he will be My son. But for the cowards and unbelievers and detestable ones and murderers and fornicators and sorcerers and idolaters and all the liars, their part is the lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” {21:8}

(8th) One of the seven angels, who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues, came and said to me, “Come. I will show you the bride, the fiancée of the Lamb.” He carried <me away in the Spirit> to a mountain, great and high, and showed me ‘the sacred City’, ‘Jerusalem’, coming down out of heaven from God, having God’s splendor.

‘Its’ light is like a precious stone, as crystal-clear jasper. ‘Its’ wall, great and high, has twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, inscribed with the names of Israel’s twelve tribes (on the east, three gates; on the north, three; on the south, three; on the west, three). ‘The City’s’ wall has twelve foundations, on which are the twelve names of the Lamb’s twelve Apostles.

The one talking with me had a golden reed to measure ‘the City’, its wall and gates. ‘The City’ lies in a square, ‘Its’ length as long as the width. He measured ‘the City’ with the reed, fifteen hundred miles (its length and breadth and height are equal). He measured ‘Its’ wall, two hundred and sixteen feet (by man’s measure, which is of an angel). The material of the wall is jasper, and ‘the City’ is pure gold, like pure glass. The twelve foundations of the wall are ornamented with every precious stone: the first foundation is jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; and the twelfth, amethyst. The twelve gates are twelve pearls (each one of the gates is one pearl), and the street of ‘the City’ is pure gold, like transparent glass. {21:21}

I saw no temple in ‘the City’, for the Lord God the Almighty is its Temple, and the Lamb. ‘The City’ needs neither the sun nor the moon to shine in ‘It’, for God’s splendor gives light to ‘It’, and the Lamb is ‘Its’ lamp. The nations will walk by ‘Its’ light, and kings bring their splendor into ‘It’. The gates should never be shut by day, and night will not be there. They will bring the splendor and honor of the nations into ‘It’, and by no means should any uncleanness, or a doer of detestable things, or a liar, enter into ‘It’, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. {21:27}

He showed me a river of the water of life (clear as crystal) flowing from the Throne of God and from the Lamb. In the middle of ‘Its’ wide street, on both sides of the river, is the Tree of Life bearing twelve fruits monthly, and the tree’s leaves are for the healing of the nations, and cursing will be no more.

The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in ‘It’. His slaves will serve Him, and they will look on His face, and His Name will be on their foreheads. Night will be no more, and they have no need of the light of a lamp, or the light of the sun, because the Lord God will give them light, and they will reign forever and ever. {22:5}

He said to me, “These words are dependable and true. The Lord (the God of the spirits of the prophets) has sent His angel to show His slaves what things must happen soon. Behold! I am coming soon. Oh, the divine happiness of he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this Book.” {22:7}

(9th) And I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things, and when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed these things to me. And he said to me, “Do not! I am your fellow slave, and of your brothers the prophets, and of those keeping the words of this Book. You must worship God.”

And he said to me, “You cannot seal the words of the prophecy of this Book, for the time is near. He who is unjust, he must still be unjust; and he who is filthy, he must still be filthy; and he who is righteous, he must still be righteous; and he who is holy, he must still be holy.” {22:11}

(10th) “Behold! I am coming soon, and My reward is with Me to give to each one according to his work. “I”, the A and the Z, the first and the last, the beginner and the end. Divinely happy [are] they who wash their robes, in order that they may have access to the Tree of Life, and to the gates, that they may go into ‘the City’. The dogs and the sorcerers and the fornicators and the murderers and the idolaters and everyone loving and practicing a lie are outside. {22:15}

I, Jesus, sent My angel to testify these things to you for the congregations. I AM, the root and offspring of David, the bright, the morning star.”

{22:16} Both the Spirit and the bride must say, ‘Come!’ and the one who hears must say, ‘Come!’ and he who is thirsty must come. He who wants the water of life must receive it without cost.

I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this Book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this Book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the Book of this prophecy (of the things which are written in this Book), God will take away his part from the Tree of Life, and from ‘the sacred City’.

The One testifying these things said, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen! You must come, Lord Jesus. The Grace of the Lord Jesus be with the saints.
